Through the Gloom
RETURN TO THE GLOOM
Through the Gloom is a UK-based musician making dark ambient, noise, drone and experimental music. The sound leans toward late-night piano, tape hiss, low tones and slow-building unease, with moments of melody that surface briefly before sinking back into the murk. Since 2020, Through the Gloom has released a steady run of albums and EPs, including a release through Utopian Mechanics, available as a limited-edition cassette accompanied by a handmade zine-style booklet. The current series, How to Start a Cult, pushes further into ritual textures, hypnotic drift and claustrophobic atmosphere, made for full listens rather than background noise.
